Multi-Family Energy Audit

What:

A Multi-Family Energy Audit is a study of a building’s utilities consumption (electricity, gas, water), with an on-site inspection that evaluates all aspects of the facility including: lighting, air conditioning, heating and ventilation equipment, HVAC controls, and all other energy equipment.

After the on-site assessment, a detailed report is generated prioritizing energy conservation measures (ECMs) with quantifiable cost savings analysis and return on investment.

Multi-family energy audit is an infield assessment intended to identify and develop measures that will reduce the energy use and/or energy cost of operating a building. Building improvements that enhance occupant comfort, indoor air quality (IAQ), and health and safety issues may also be addressed as part of an energy audit.

After the on-site assessment, a detailed energy audit report is generated prioritizing energy conservation measures (ECMs) with quantifiable cost savings analysis and return on investment. Impact Energy Consulting will perform:

  • Utility bill analysis
  • The building overall performance and diagnostic testing
  • Energy modeling and analysis
  • Cost estimating
  • Financial analysis
Impact Energy Consulting will then produce a fully comprehensive report and with all the findings, details, and recommendations to enable you to make the best decision that fits your needs and goals.

Why:

The energy audit will provide the building owners or property managers with a strategic roadmap to minimize operating expenses and reduce a building’s energy costs by 10% – 40%.

Our proven optimization methods and energy audits deliver a reduced carbon footprint resulting in direct financial savings. While the energy savings potential varies, our process can:

  • Reduce operating costs and therefore improve your financial performance
  • Improve building durability and increase its value
  • Increase building efficiency through system optimization
  • Reduce your property’s environmental impact and carbon footprint

Process:

Our multi-family energy assessment/audit process is designed to identify solutions that address your concerns and priorities with accuracy and cost-effectiveness.

Multi-Family assessments may include:

  • On-site walk-through of the property
  • Sampling of units
  • Testing sampled units or all units, depending on the project and goals
  • Investigate common space
  • Building leakage testing
  • Duct leakage testing
  • Airflow measurement testing and fan watt draw
  • Refrigerant charge testing
